Oliebids Seeks San Diego Contractors Across 12 Core Home Service Trades

Oliebids is building its contractor network around 12 core home service trades. The goal is to connect more San Diego homeowners with pros for the repair, maintenance, and improvement work they need most.

The launch categories include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, painting, flooring, fencing, handyman services, appliance repair, lawn and garden, cleaning, and remodeling.

Together, these trades give Oliebids a focused starting point that covers a wide range of projects homeowners regularly need help with, while allowing the platform to build a stronger contractor base within each service category.

Twelve Home Service Trades at Launch

Oliebids is currently looking for contractors across the following categories:

  • HVAC – Cooling and heating repairs, diagnosis, and system work.

  • Plumbing – Leaks, faucets, fixtures, and drain problems.

  • Electrical – Outlets, lighting, panel upgrades, and repairs.

  • Roofing – Repairs, missing shingles, and replacements.

  • Painting – Interior and exterior jobs.

  • Flooring – Installation and replacement.

  • Fencing – New fences, repairs, and replacements.

  • Handyman Services – Small fixes and odd jobs around the house.

  • Appliance Repair – Washers, dryers, refrigerators, and more.

  • Lawn & Garden – Yard upkeep and landscaping projects.

  • Cleaning – Recurring cleaning and move-out deep cleans.

  • Remodeling – Kitchen and bathroom updates and larger improvements.

All 12 categories will be open for homeowners to post jobs from launch. That gives pros in many different trades a chance to establish their presence early.

The 12 categories also represent different types of homeowner demand.

Building the Contractor Network Early

For home service professionals, joining during the early stages gives an opportunity to establish their profiles before the marketplace expands further.

Oliebids is building its founding contractor roster now. Professionals choose their trade and service area, then prepare for jobs that match their expertise. Founding access is free, requires no credit card, and includes lifetime founding status, a founding badge, priority profile review, early trade and ZIP-code placement, and matching job alerts.

The platform is built so contractors set their own prices. They compete on scope, availability, experience, and overall value. Oliebids never auto-awards a job to the lowest bid.

Joining takes three steps:

  1. Claim a founding spot. Share a name, business name, trade, ZIP code, and email.

  2. Create a login.

  3. Complete contractor verification. Upload a license, insurance, and photo ID for team review.

Contractors in any of the 12 launch trades can join Oliebids as a contractor or claim founding access.

More Home Service Categories Are Planned

The 12 launch categories are only the starting point.

Oliebids plans to expand its trade catalogue in future cohorts as the marketplace grows. New trades can be introduced as verified founding contractors become available in those categories.

Professionals whose trade isn't on the current list can still join the founding roster and be notified when their category opens.

For now, Oliebids is focused on building strong participation across its first 12 trades. The aim is a broad but manageable set of professionals for the projects homeowners need most.
