Privacy Policy

Account information you provide: name, business name, email, phone, service area, trades, and profile content (bio, photos, self-reported credentials).

Activity on the platform: jobs posted, bids placed, awards, messages, reviews, and basic device/usage data needed to operate and secure the service.

To run the marketplace: match jobs to contractors, run auctions, award bids, open post-award chats, and surface ratings and reviews.

To keep the platform safe: detect abuse, moderate reported content, and enforce strikes and suspensions.

To communicate: transactional notifications (new bids, awards, messages) and, where you opt in, alerts for new matching jobs.

Phone numbers, email addresses, and street addresses are never shown publicly. They are revealed only to the two participants of a job, and only after a bid is awarded. Browsing the marketplace does not expose anyone’s contact details.

Subscription and bid-credit payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). Oliebids does not store full card numbers. Payment for the work itself happens off-platform, directly between poster and contractor.

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and security, and limited analytics to understand and improve the product. We do not sell personal information.

We retain account and transaction records while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and dispute-resolution purposes. Demo and test data is removable and is cleared before public launch.

You can review and update profile information, control optional alert emails, and request account deletion. Some records may be retained where required for legal or anti-fraud reasons.

Questions about privacy can be raised through the in-app support and Trust & Safety channels. This summary will be replaced by the full policy reviewed by counsel before public launch.
